# Aryaman Gupta
Finance and strategy professional with experience across consulting, transactions, and capital allocation.
I started out solving growth and performance problems in financial services, then moved deeper into finance to better understand how businesses make decisions, deploy capital, and create value over time.
Most of my work sits at the intersection of **strategy, investing, and analysis**, whether that means looking at a business model, evaluating a deal, or thinking through what actually drives long-term outcomes beyond the PowerPoint version of events.
I have completed the **Master of Finance at Cambridge**, after working at **EY in Financial Services Consulting**, where I advised institutions on strategy, performance improvement, and transformation. In practice, that meant a mix of structured thinking, commercial judgement, and the occasional glamorous spreadsheet.
This site is part professional portfolio, part writing space, and part record of what I am thinking about. It is meant to be useful, thoughtful, and reasonably well put together, which already gives it an edge over most things built in a hurry.

What I Do
I am interested in work that sits where finance and decision-making meet:
- investment analysis
- transactions and deal thinking
- corporate strategy and value creation
- market and business research
- long-form writing on finance, strategy, and business
My background combines consulting structure with finance training, which means I tend to approach problems by asking two questions:
- What is actually happening here?
- What matters economically?
Simple questions. Inconveniently useful.
A Quick Background
Previously, I worked at Ernst & Young India in business consulting, focused on financial services. That experience gave me a front-row seat to how institutions think about growth, operations, regulation, and performance.
Alongside that, I developed a growing interest in investing, valuation, and capital allocation, which led me to Cambridge and a more deliberate move toward finance.
Broadly, I am interested in businesses, markets, strategic choices, and the way good judgement compounds over time.
What This Site Is For
This website has three purposes.
First, it is a professional home for my work, background, and selected projects.
Second, it is a place for writing on finance, strategy, business, and the occasional reflection.
Third, it is a way to build something more personal than a CV and more coherent than a scattered internet presence.
So yes, it is a portfolio. But ideally one with a pulse.
